Tomorrow, I'll spend my day at one of my best friends funerals. Yes, he was sick for a long time, but we all were optimistic that he'd pull out of it.
Holly called him my boyfriend because we spent so much time together.
My kids called him Uncle Jimmy and wrestled with him and dressed him up like a princess.
Like any good friend, to me, he was an adviser, a mentor, a confidant, support through tough times and an amazing person to be around.
I'll miss him terribly.
