MySpace - Lamer by the Second

In an effort to ensure that no cool kids actually ever use it's service again, social networking giant MySpace announced this week that they would be providing parents with tools that would allow parents to see what their kids are doing on the service. Parry Aftab of Wired Saftey.org said thinks that this is a great move, yet acknowledged that "when they [kids] find out their teacher, police or parents are reading their profiles, they leave in droves.'' Yeah, no kidding they will leave in droves. Kids want a place online where their parents can't spy on them. Even if they aren't doing anything wrong, just like you don't want the government reading your email and listening to your phone calls. And if MySpace isn't going to give them that, not only will MySpace be viewed as a total sell out, it will also be left as a place where only marketers have other marketers in their Top 8.
